Hwa Kang Journal of TEFL, published by the Language Center of the
Chinese Culture University in Taipei, is now announcing a call for
papers for the 2005 edition of our journal. The journal, now in its
eleventh year of publication especially welcomes writers whose first
language is not English to submit and is intended to promote the
teaching of English as a foreign language, with a focus on listening
and speaking, considered together as a conversational or communicative
ability or skill, or considered separately as two distinct language
abilities or skills. Papers may explore one segment or aspect or more,
or give overall consideration to TEFL as a subject.
Submitting Articles
By Friday December 31st, 2004, authors must submit their articles to
the Coordinator. Be advised that, if articles are later, they may not
be included in the upcoming print edition issue of the Journal, though
they may still be published online.
To submit, type your name and a biography of yourself (50 words) along
with full contact details on page one. Double spacing must be used
throughout the submission.
Attach this to the article. All submissions must be in Word 97/RTF
formats only.
Additional Requirements:
*Submissions should conform strictly to MLA format.
*Pictures or graphics should be in either tiff, gif, jpeg or bmp
format.
*Charts and graphs should be in Excel format only, not the WORD
drawing tool.
NOTE: Articles in other formats will be rejected immediately.

Authors will receive a conditional acceptance or rejection by February
28th, 2005.
